hub.light

The light module includes functions to change the color of the button lights on the SPIKE Prime hub. To control the light matrix, see hub.light_matrix.

To use the light module, add the following import statement to your project:

from hub import light

All functions in the module should be called inside the light module as a prefix like so:

light.color(color.RED)

The following constants are defined:

  • POWER = 0

  • CONNECT = 1

Functions

color(light, color)

Change the color of a light on the hub.
hub.light.color(light, color)

Change the color of a light on the hub.

from hub import light
import color

# Change the light to red
light.color(light.POWER, color.RED)
# Change the light color using RGB
light.color(light.CONNECT, 90, 40, 2)
Parameters:

  • light (int) – The light on the hub

  • color (int) – A color from the color module constants, or three values from 0-100 giving red, green, and blue intensities
